Bryan Station’s Key Club rakes in honors

Bryan Station High School brought home several awards from the annual Kentucky-Tennessee District of Key Club International convention, and Ariel Watson was elected lieutenant governor for Division 10-11.
The regional honors included:

Best All-Around Key Clubber – Christopher “Paco” Walters.

Most Outstanding Key Clubber – Nate White.

Outstanding Club President – Rachel Swanson.

First place, Impromptu Essay Competition – Nate White.

First place, Individual Service to the Ronald McDonald House Charities – Taylor Howlett.

First place, Overall Club Service to the Ronald McDonald House Charities – Bryan Station High School.

Outstanding Service in Silver-Level Fundraising ($500-$999 category) for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Recognition of the $472.50 collected for UNICEF, an international supporter of children.

Outstanding Kiwanis Adviser – Lyndon Crockett, Bluegrass Kiwanis Club.
Bryan Station students attending the March 11-13 convention at the Griffin Gate Marriott also included Marjorie Amon, Taylor Cottle, Tavanei Crowders, Arial England, Stephen Parsons and Arion Wright. They served on the host committee, secured donations for the welcome bags and organized the conventionwide service project, in which all the attendees together made 80 fleece blankets for patients at the local Shriners Hospital for Children.
In addition, members of Bryan Station’s JROTC unit presented the colors, and chorus students sang the national anthem and “My Old Kentucky Home.”
