Based on ACT scores and training certificates, only a third of the 2010 public school graduates in Kentucky left their high schools prepared for college or the workplace. KET explores such issues and challenges in its monthly series Education Matters.
The November edition, “Seamless Transition to College and Careers,” focused on ways that educators work together to ensure more students are prepared for the next step in life. One of the panelists was Frank LaBoone, principal of Opportunity Middle College in Fayette County Public Schools.
