The 16^th District PTA, in conjunction with Fayette County Public Schools, is sponsoring a Kindergarten Readiness Training from 6 to 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at host Arlington Elementary, 122 Arceme Ave.

Parents can find out what to expect when moving children along to kindergarten, develop skills to ease the transition, and pick up language and literacy strategies.

Participants will also receive information about kindergarten screening and the new Delivery to Diploma program. Whitney Stevenson, the district’s early childhood gap intervention specialist, will be on hand to answer questions.

Families should arrive early since parents from any school may register kids on site.
