Southern Middle School, Bryan Station High and Sandersville Elementary have banded together to offer the FCPS Bluegrass Trifecta, a series of 5K races, to promote active lifestyles in the community.
Registered participants who complete all three events will receive a Trifecta T-shirt. Finishers age 18 and older also will be entered in a drawing for $150, $100 and $50 prizes. FCPS students who complete the series will be eligible to win an iPod or Wii system.
Superintendent Stu Silberman, an avid cyclist, hopes to run/walk each race and will present the Bluegrass Trifecta awards after the final leg at Sandersville.
