Fayette County Public Schools will host a public forum to gather input on the fall 2009 Wellness Check-Up, a two-page report that reviews nutrition and physical activity districtwide.
The forum starts at 5 p.m. Monday Nov. 30 in Conference Room C of “It’s About Kids” Support Services, 701 E. Main St.
The annual reports also note several goals that aim to improve overall student wellness, such as not using food as a reward and ensuring that each child has 30 minutes of daily physical activity. Visit www.fcps.net/wellness for more details.
The Child Nutrition staff will take people’s suggestions into consideration when preparing an action plan for the school board in January.
Those who cannot attend the forum may share comments with Michelle Coker, director of the district’s Child Nutrition Program (michelle.coker@fayette.kyschools.us or 381-3839).
The feedback deadline is Dec. 31.
