The Living Arts & Science Center has received a $23,175 grant from JP Morgan Chase to support Science Explorers, an after-school program for three Title I schools.

The program, which is for students at Arlington, Harrison and William Wells Brown elementaries, provides hands-on learning that encourages children to ask questions. It also provides teachers with professional development opportunities and learning materials to more fully engage their students in the classroom.

The Living Arts & Science Center is a not-for-profit organization that runs art galleries, a discovery gallery, monthly community programs, classes and workshops for children and adults. For more information, visit http://www.lasclex.org/.
