Brett Durbin, a senior at Lafayette High School, has received the Lexington Rotary Club’s 2010 Tommy Bell Award.
This honor goes to the outstanding scholar-athlete in Fayette County, as chosen by high school principals and coaches and members of the sports media.
Brett has a weighted 4.3 GPA and plans to major in biochemistry to prepare for a career in sports medicine. He also will play quarterback for the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati.
The annual award is in memory of attorney, NFL referee and humanitarian Tommy Bell, an active Rotarian for many years.
