IAKSS staffers earn communications awards

Fayette County Public Schools received several awards from the Kentucky School Public Relations Association as part of the 2009 “Outstanding Achievement in School Information Services” competition.

And in the first-ever overall award in the contest, the district’s communications office brought home the “Sweepstakes Award for Excellence in a Multi-faceted Communications Effort.”

Awards included:

  • 1st place, Academic Achievement Promotions: CATS Celebration
  • 1st place, Academic Achievement Promotions: Ninth-Grade Improvement Awards
  • 1st place, Calendars: FCPS Family Handbook and Calendar
  • 1st place, Special Events: 2009 Calendar Art Competition and Show
  • 1st place, Special Events: 2009 Retirement Celebration
  • 1st place, Miscellaneous Printed Materials: Countdown to Kindergarten Growth Chart
  • 1st place, Brochures – Full Color: Snow Brochure

Communications Office & Printing Department:

  • 1st place, External Publications – Full Color, The Collection: Celebrating Student Artists
  • 1st place, Miscellaneous Printed Materials, 2009 Retirement Invitation
