Twelve seniors in Fayette County Public Schools are among this year’s more than 2,800 initial winners of National Merit scholarships financed by colleges and universities. Another group of recipients will be announced July 12.

Each sponsor college selects their award winners from among finalists in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their school. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study.

Congratulations to these award recipients from FCPS.
