FCPS magnet schools offer such options as Spanish immersion and individually prescribed education, while the gifted & talented programs provide the highest level of service in the areas of creative and performing arts, math, science, general intellectual ability and specific academic aptitude.

All these programs foster higher achievement, fuel hotbeds of creativity and provide an array of educational choices that focus on students’ specific needs, interests and abilities.

Admission to magnet schools and gifted & talented programs is by application only. The application window is Sept. 1 - Oct. 15 for the 2010-2011 school year.
