Language students rise to challenge at state festival

Jessie M. Clark Middle School and Bryan Station High School brought home top honors in the Japanese and Spanish categories at the 2010 statewide World Language Festival.
Proficient students represented Fayette County Public Schools well in the festival, sponsored by the Kentucky World Language Association.
More than 1,500 language students from across the Commonwealth participated May 15 at the University of Kentucky.

Chinese – 2nd Crawford Middle School; 3rd Lexington Traditional Magnet School
Latin – 2nd (tie) Henry Clay High School
Japanese – 1st Jessie M. Clark Middle School
Spanish – 1st Bryan Station High School; 2nd Bryan Station Traditional Magnet School (Spanish Immersion)
