Fayette County Public Schools has set the registration windows for the 2010-2011 school year:

• Feb. 16 through March 12 (not on snow days)
• April 5-23
• Tuesdays from June 15 through July 20 (except July 6)
• July 26 through Aug. 11 (the first day of school)

During these time frames, families may visit schools between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to register first-time students, including kindergarteners. (Any child who turns 5 on or before Oct. 1 is eligible for full-day kindergarten.)

Evening registration will also be available from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23 and April 13.

To enroll a child, families should go to the school their neighborhood is assigned to and fill out a registration packet. (Visit www.fcps.net/street or call 381-4315.)

To register a child in a different school, families must complete an out-of-area request. But it is still recommended that students register at their neighborhood school. Visit www.fcps.net/outofarea or call (859) 381-4122.
