All youngsters entering kindergarten this fall are encouraged to come to a special Kindergarten Kickoff, which will help prepare them for the first day of class.

The children can look around their new schools, and teachers will spend a few minutes asking them to share what they already know about numbers, letters, shapes and colors.

Hopefully, families have already received a scheduled time to visit their child’s school either July 31 or Aug. 3.  If not, please call the school for an appointment. 

Nearly 3,000 kindergartners are expected to enroll this year. Fayette County families can register their children through Aug. 12, the first day of school.
