Graduate Kentucky: A Community Approach, a dropout prevention summit sponsored by the Governor's Office, will kick off a statewide initiative to tackle the school dropout problem.
At the Sept. 11-12 gathering in Frankfort, people will come together to explore why students give up on school and to determine how communities can help reduce the dropout rate.
In addition, Marian Wright Edelman, founder and president of The Children’s Defense Fund, will offer her perspective and discuss her work as a leading voice for youth.
