Students at 49 participating schools collected 89,179 pounds of food in the 15th annual Kids Helping Kids food drive, which is sponsored by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky.

Schools donating the most pounds per student during October were (in no particular order) Breckinridge Elementary, Cassidy Elementary, Eastside Technical Center, Jessie M. Clark Middle, Lafayette High, Meadowthorpe Elementary, SCAPA Bluegrass, Southern Middle, Veterans Park Elementary and Winburn Middle School.
