The Fayette County Board of Education has approved names for two new facilities under construction in the school district.

A bus garage at 780 Miles Point Way will be called the Miles Point Bus Terminal, and Eastside Technical Center’s agriscience center at 3591 Leestown Road will be the Locust Trace Agriscience Farm.

The bus terminal, which is about half finished, will replace the one on Springhill Drive behind Lafayette High School. The district needs to move the buses to make room for Lafayette’s renovated stadium, which is slated for completion next summer.

The agriscience facility will house Eastside’s budding pre-veterinary science program, expansion of the horticulture offerings, development of equine and environmental studies, and eventual production of crops and livestock.
