The Tates Creek High girls volleyball team is hosting a tournament and silent auction to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise money for medical research. 

The Commodore Cancer Classic will run 8 a.m. to noon Saturday Sept. 19 in the school gym. Items donated by local businesses, such as pottery and retail gift cards, will be auctioned throughout the morning.
