This year’s Greater Lexington AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory cover features the artwork of Nathan Blankenship, a senior at Henry Clay High School.
His original painting of downtown Lexington was chosen from more than 170 pieces submitted in a Fayette County Public Schools art contest last spring.
“We are proud to feature the wonderful artwork of Fayette County student Nathan Blankenship on this new edition AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory for Lexington,” said Bret Shugarts, AT&T Real Yellow Pages general manager. “We always strive to make our directory covers special on the outside and to tailor the contents inside our print directories and online search options to best serve the needs of our communities. You can count on the AT&T Real Yellow Pages and YELLOWPAGES.COM as your complete source of local information.”
“We’re delighted that one of our students has been showcased on the cover of the new phone book,” said Fayette County Schools Superintendent Stu Silberman. “For the next year, we hope that the talent and accomplishments of our kids will be front and center anytime someone needs to look up a number.”
Four other FCPS students were finalists:
- De'Marrea Allen (Stonewall Elementary)
- Eddie Resendiz (Bryan Station High)
- Virginia Smith (Clays Mill Elementary)
- Ariel Sniegowski (Paul Laurence Dunbar High School)
More than 400,000 total AT&T Real Yellow Pages and midsize directories will be distributed in the Lexington area. Initial delivery starts this month and lasts about four weeks. The directory will be made available to new residents and businesses throughout the year. The midsize directory will be delivered in June.
In addition to area residential and business listings, the AT&T Real Yellow Pages includes local, state and federal government listings; area attractions and events; arts, maps, emergency and 911 guides; severe weather tips; and other important local information.
The Greater Lexington directory includes listings for the cities of Ford, Georgetown, Midway, Mount Sterling, Nicholasville, Paris, Pilot View, Sadieville, Stamping Ground, Stanton, Versailles, Wilmore and Winchester.
