Gary Wiseman, the FCPS director of Pupil Personnel, received a Champions for Children Award at the 12th annual “Kids Are Worth It!” statewide conference.

The awards, given by Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky, go to people who have made outstanding efforts in the prevention of child maltreatment.

Wiseman, who has been director here for eight years, was one of four recipients honored at a Sept. 4 luncheon at the Marriot Griffin Gate Resort Hotel.
