FCPS offers summer school options

Fayette County Public Schools offers several summer school options, including physical education and health courses and credit recovery for students who need to make up a class or those who wish to retake a course to improve their grade.

Initial physical education course
A few spaces are still available in the July class, hosted by Henry Clay High School:
- Second session: July 8-21, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Students earn a half credit for P.E. They will have a half-hour break and must provide their own lunch.
Health credit
This credit will be offered by correspondence or e-school. Contact your school counselors for details.
Credit recovery
This will be handled by each high school. Check with your counselors for details.
Note: All courses, with the exception of physical education, will be core-content online learning.
Plato program
Because of low enrollment, FCPS is not offering initial core-content classes in the Plato program this summer. Students may consult their school counselors for alternatives:

Registration
Students may mail their registration to Fayette County Public Schools / Summer School Registration, 701 E. Main St., Lexington KY 40502, Attn. Pam White, room 201. Or bring payment to White's office between 8 and 11 a.m. or 12:30 to 4 p.m. weekdays. Call (859) 381-4198 for more information.
