A team of students from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School finished second in the spring Stock Market Game, organized by the Kentucky Council on Economic Education.

Kyle Greywall, Kevin Cordingly, Griffin MacDougall, Joe Wang, Susanna Cagle and Madeline Hart picked up a $200 prize, plus $50 for a class party.

The interactive and interdisciplinary Stock Market Game program requires students to manage a simulated investment portfolio for 15 weeks.

Starting with an imaginary cash account of $100,000, teams strive to create the best-performing portfolio using a live-Internet trading simulation. In the end, the Dunbar team’s portfolio value was $142,420.47.
