16th District PTA presents awards

The 16th District PTA singled out several schools, students and other individuals at its annual recognition luncheon, held May 22 at the Four Points Sheraton.

Scholarship awards ($750 each):
  • Ashley Stuckey, Bryan Station High
  • Natalie Simpson, Henry Clay High
  • Matt Love, Lafayette High
  • Samantha Wang, Paul Laurence Dunbar High
  • Daniel Griggs, Tates Creek High

Lifetime Achievement awards:

Attendance awards (for districtwide round-table meetings):

  • For percentage growth since last year: Millcreek Elementary, Leestown Middle and Paul Laurence Dunbar High.
  • For highest percentage of membership based on student enrollment: Veterans Park Elementary, Southern Middle School and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.
Reflections arts program, for 100 percent student participation:

Garden Springs, Glendover, Lansdowne, Millcreek, Tates Creek Elementary and Lexington Traditional Magnet.

Outstanding volunteers:
