On Monday, August 4, at 2 p.m., Fayette County school officials will announce the latest round of federal No Child Left Behind results in an embargoed press conference. At this time, the state will not have released the test scores to the media. The Kentucky Department of Education will post the No Child Left Behind test score results for the entire state at 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 5. At that point, media outlets will be able to report on the information received at the embargoed press conference from August 4.

Fayette County is holding the embargoed press conference in order to assist our local media in their task of communicating this important information to parents and the community at large. Fayette County district leaders wanted to present the data in a way that would allow reporters to complete more comprehensive stories. Any breech of the embargo will preclude Fayette County from helping reporters like this in the future. Reporters and photographers will be asked to sign an embargo agreement at the press conference.

The press conference will be in Conference Room C of the "It’s About Kids" Support Services building, at 701 E. Main St.
