On March 6, students and staff in Fayette County Public Schools will make up another day missed because of wintry weather.

The district’s original academic calendar called for students to be off that Friday, but designated it as a possible weather make-up day. The March 6 school day will compensate for the Jan. 16 closure.

This will be the second scheduled make-up day in 2008-09. Students will also go to school Feb. 13 because of the Dec. 16 cancellation.

Another reminder: Since there is no primary election this spring, May 19 will be a weather make-up day if needed.
