Fayette County Public Schools has specific programs that foster higher achievement, fuel hotbeds of creativity, and provide an array of educational choices that focus on students’ specific needs, interests and abilities.

Our magnet schools offer such options as Spanish immersion and individually prescribed education, while our gifted and talented programs provide the highest level of service for students identified in the areas of creative and performing arts, math, science, general intellectual ability and specific academic aptitude. Several of our schools also offer special academic programs.

Admission to magnet, gifted & talented and special academic programs is by application only. The application window is Sept. 1-Oct. 15, 2008, for the 2009-10 school year. Go online on or after Labor Day at https://webapps.fcps.net/magnet/application02.asp to apply.
