Tresine Logsdon, a biology teacher at Henry Clay High School, has been selected by the Southern Regional Education Board as Kentucky’s top online instructor.

Logsdon was nominated by the staff of the Kentucky Virtual High School, which is administered through the Kentucky Department of Education.

In addition to the Web site recognition, Logsdon will receive a certificate from SREB and a letter of congratulations from SREB President Dave Spence.

Since 2006, Logsdon has taught oceanography and Advanced Placement environmental science through the Kentucky Virtual High School. She also designs online professional development with e-Learning KY and facilitates SREB’s online forum for science teachers. At Henry Clay High, Logsdon uses a hybrid teaching model through the Blackboard platform with her face-to-face classes.
