Are you a fluent speaker, reader and writer in English and another language?
The English as a Second Language Department at Fayette County Public Schools needs interpreters/translators (except Spanish) for Korean, Vietnamese, Chin, languages from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, Gujarti and other languages from India and Pakistan, Nepali and languages from Africa, Haitian-Creole and African-Creole.
The position is paid at an hourly rate based on a school’s need for interpreters at meetings, evaluations and parent conferences. No specific number of hours can be guaranteed, and interpreters will be contacted on an as-needed basis.
Find out more under Human Resources; click on the volunteers link to complete that application, which includes a criminal background check. The last step is to choose a location, such as a particular school.
After completing this process, e-mail Martha Rodriguez or Susan Prout.
