Two teams from Eastside Technical Center earned scholarships in the state finals of the AAA/Ford Auto Skills Contest, held April 23-24 at Heritage Hall.

Evan Brown and Dylan Wilson placed third and will receive $23,000 each. Adam Sutherland and Cory Osbourne finished 10^th and will get $3,500 apiece. The four students qualified for the hands-on competition by passing the AAA/Ford written exam.

The two-state event also included guest speakers from the auto industry talking about careers and other opportunities.
