Eastside Technical Center’s Automotive Technology Department, along with the Professional Master Technicians Association, will offer its annual car care clinic starting at 9 a.m. Saturday Oct. 4 at the school. The inspections are free and available to the whole community.
About 20 students have volunteered to spend the day running through routine checkpoints, testing everything from tire pressure and headlights to belts and hoses. While they will perform no repairs, the students will give car owners a summary of their findings and recommendations.
The clinic, which started in 1990, will be held at the school for the first time; previously it was in the parking lot at Eastland Bowling Lanes. Eastside Tech is at 2208 Liberty Road, behind the school district’s bus garage.
