Artwork by kids from all across Fayette County Public Schools is on display downtown at ArtsPlace through April 30.
Art teachers submitted nearly 200 pieces for consideration in the district’s annual calendar art contest. Volunteer judges from the arts community will pick the winners, which will be announced the evening of April 23. These 14 students will see their work featured in the 2009-2010 calendar and family handbook.
The gallery is at 161 N. Mill St.; it’s open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays. Call (859) 233-1469 for more information.
