Each summer, Kentucky’s most talented, creative high school students gather for three weeks to learn and grow together at the Governor’s School for the Arts.
More than 1,300 students audition for the program each year, and about 240 are selected. The rising juniors and seniors receive in-depth instruction in one of these artistic disciplines: architecture, creative writing, dance, drama, instrumental music, musical theater, new media, visual art or vocal music.
During their June 22-July 12 stay at Transylvania University, the student artists will be immersed in seminars, hands-on workshops and field trips. For more details, go to www.kentuckygsa.org/.
