Julius Marks Elementary School, which presented its “On the Go Video with JME-TV!”, was among the 10 runners-up in the 2008 STLP state showcase competition.
More than 3,500 students from across Kentucky participated in the Student Technology Leadership Program competition, held May 6-7 in Lexington. Three schools selected as overall champions will represent Kentucky during national competition in San Antonio in June.
STLP is a project-based learning program that empowers students in all grade levels to use technology to learn and achieve. Projects are judged on educational value, value to the entire school or community and entrepreneurship. Recognition also goes to individual students, school teams and district champions for other categories such as robotics, writing, presentations, college scholarships and digital creations.
