Congratulations to six seniors at Paul Laurence Dunbar High who have earned National Merit scholarships this spring.

    The $2,500 winners are Papa Chakravarthy, Kathleen Harrington, Nan Hu, David Parell, Tian Yang and Victor Yang.

    Chosen from among 15,000 finalists, some 2,500 winning seniors were deemed to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in rigorous college studies. These students may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
