Registration is now open for the June 5 Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) Conference at E.J. Hayes Middle School. This is the fifth year we’ve offered the conference, and the focus is on ways to better integrate technology into instruction. As in the past, it’s FREE and teachers may receive PD credit for attending. The PD credit would count for the 08/09 school year.
A few things are changing this year:
- The sessions will be a little more advanced than in the past.
- The conference is geared toward Technology Integration Specialists (KDE’s new name for Technology Resource Teachers) but it is also appropriate for other educators to attend.
- The conference is shortened to 1 day.
- We are featuring a series of live interactive videoconference sessions.
- We are featuring one session as a webcast. Conference attendees will see the session live and in person, but other people who can’t attend the conference will be able to view the session from any computer with high speed Internet access.
