Ten FCPS seniors will be rewarded through the Lexmark Academic Scholarship Program.
The awards are $2,000 a year and are renewable for four years as long as the student maintains a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
Nearly 80 students participated in national competition for the 20 Lexmark scholarships. The winners were chosen on the basis of aptitude for college by test scores, GPA, secondary school achievement, leadership qualities, character, extracurricular activities and the recommendations of high school administrators.
Congratulations to these students on their accomplishments:
From Lafayette High School: Michael W. Brown and Laura Menard.
From Paul Laurence Dunbar High School: Jordan Bryan, Kendall Goffinet, Robert Koteff, Keith Kral, Julia Li and Matthew Mullins.
From Tates Creek High School: Trevor Combs and Kyle Fessler.
