Latin, French students excel on exams

Congratulations to Latin and French students at Henry Clay High School who recently competed in their respective national exams.
Latin students of Lisa Gilvin earned the following awards on the American Classical League’s National Latin Exam:
Latin I: Jeremy Bradford (gold summa cum laude), John Aroutiounian (silver maxima cum laude), Justin Graff (silver maxima cum laude), Brittany Thompson (silver maxima cum laude), Robert Reed (cum laude) and Erin Hisel (cum laude)
Latin II: Alison Winger (silver maxima cum laude) and Mattie Toma (silver maxima cum laude)
Latin III: Connor Denny (cum laude)
Latin IV: Ben Luckey (silver maxima cum laude), Brian Burdine (silver maxima cum laude), Robert Cope (silver maxima cum laude) and Rachel Ross (magna cum laude)
Several students earned state and national rankings on the American Association of Teachers of French Grand Concours.
National and state:
Level 2: Jesse Rae Staben;
Level 3: Miguel Andrade;
Level 4: Stephen Fritz, Nika Larian and Margaret Lutz.

Level 2: Anne Dauenhauer, Megan Miser Kirby and Ann-Marie Kirk.
Level 4: Bettina Jones, Dan Richey, Erin Wrightson, Le Zhang and Ann-Marie Harik.
Level 5: Nathaniel K. Spears and Chelsea Mullins.
