Students at Tates Creek Middle School will rev up their engines at a pep rally on Friday, April 20 at 2 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium before taking the statewide Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (also known as CATS) next week.

The theme of the celebration is “On the Road to Success – Route 88.” 88 is the score the school hopes to earn on this year’s test. Teachers will perform skits and every employee and student in the school will be wearing a T-shirt adorned with the school’s mascot and the Route 88 theme.

“We think it’s important that we celebrate the kids and let them know how much we appreciate their hard work this year,” said Principal Greg Quenon.
