A planned power outage in Frankfort that would have resulted in interruption of Internet services at FCPS on October 16 has been cancelled. There will be no disruption on that date after all.

The FCPS Department of Technology had previously been notified by our Internet service provider that there would be disruptions in our Internet connectivity on the afternoon and evening of Monday, October 9, and Monday, October 16. The shutdowns were the direct result of planned electrical work in the area of Frankfort where KETS infrastructure is located. Frankfort Plant Board was to shut off all power in a multi-block area of downtown Frankfort.

The October 9 shutdown did occur, but the Frankfort power utility was able to complete all of the work on that day, eliminating the need for a second shutdown.
