Bryan Station Middle School students took top honors in the S.M.A.R.T. Choices Challenge sponsored by Pepsi and WKYT-TV.

The challenge encouraged middle school kids to make healthier lifestyle choices. Students competed as a group for five weeks, earning points by logging their healthy habits in a “passport.” Winning schools were chosen based on the percentage of kids participating and the average points accumulated by each participant. Bryan Station Middle School earned more than 31,000 points and was awarded $2,000 to the school’s general fund. Thirty lucky students also took home an iPod shuffle for their efforts.

Winburn Middle School placed second. The school will receive $1,000 and 15 students were selected randomly to receive an iPod Shuffle.

Jessie Clark Middle School finished third and will receive $500. Ten students won an iPod Shuffle.

Morton Middle School placed fourth. The school will receive $500 and five Morton students will receive an iPod Shuffle.
