Students at Arlington Elementary School will receive a special visit by The Cat in the Hat and members of the National Education Association on Monday, February 26 from 9:55 a.m. to 11 a.m. The visit is part of a celebration in honor of The Cat in the Hat’s 50th birthday celebration. It will be a precursor to Read Across America Day, held annually on March 2, which is Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

Arlington is one of only two Kentucky schools chosen by the association to receive the special presentation.

Each child will receive a book and hat during the event. The National Education Association will also present the school’s library with a $1,000 donation.
