The third annual FCPS Family Reunion drew a throng of employees to Whitaker Bank Ballpark for a Sunday evening of fun, food, and fellowship.

“The FCPS Family Reunion is an awesome way to celebrate the hard work and contributions of our employees. Throughout the school year, our staff members give of themselves daily in order to make a difference in the lives of children and ensure that all students achieve at high levels and graduate prepared to excel in a global society. This event is a chance to thank them for that work and bring our entire district together. We work in different departments and schools, but we together we are the Fayette County Public Schools family.”

Among the June 4 highlights were a photo booth, bubbles and sidewalk chalk, face painting and balloon animals, and free treats from Kona Ice to help cool the crowd. The Lexington Legends came through, too, with a 5-2 win over the Augusta Greenjackets, and fireworks capped the night.
