In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we offer here a sampling of the stirring tributes submitted by seniors who participated in the 2009 FAME Awards. Check back daily for an essay from each high school, featuring the five students who received $100 book scholarships from www.ecampus.com.

Nearly 70 graduating seniors and their favorite teachers, coaches and mentors were honored as FAME Award winners this spring.

The student-teacher pairs, selected on the strength of the essay submissions, were invited to a May 3 program celebrating the special influence educators can have on the lives of the students they serve.
