Traditional Magnet Middle Schools

Bryan Station Traditional Magnet and Lexington Traditional Magnet Middle Schools

The middle school programs focus on traditional values with high educational expectations, discipline, and a well-defined dress code. The program provides an enriched and highly structured curriculum that develops intellectual skills and concepts for strong academic achievement which includes:

  • Foreign Language Required at all grade levels
  • Latin in sixth grade
  • Adherence to dress code
  • Rigorous promotion requirements
  • Extended school day
  • Highly Disciplined Student Behavior

To qualify for the Middle School Magnet programs a student must be reading on grade level and have a "C" average or better in all core content classes. Once the Magnet School Committee has determined eligibility the students name will be placed in the lottery pool.
