Gifted and talented students in grades K-3 are provided services through the Primary Talent Pool.

Students are selected through an informal process and placed in a talent pool to receive services that allow continuous progress. A minimum of three pieces of documentation of student strength are used for selection. Documentation may include:

• Student work samples
• Behavioral checklists
• Anecdotal records
• Parent questionnaires
• Teacher recommendations
• Diagnostic data

A committee reviews all documentation to determine selection, service options, location and provider of services.
