Despite the fascination with high-tech careers, our society still has a vital need for well-trained, qualified individuals to fill thousands of jobs in traditional fields ranging from agricultural science to carpentry, public services to health sciences, automotive technology to welding.

Future job opportunities will require that a candidate be at least a high school graduate with technical skills, preferably with an additional two-year or four-year college degree. FCPS offers its high school students opportunities to acquire knowledge and marketable skills through innovative programs offered at Eastside Technical Center and Locust Trace AgriScience Farm and at Southside Technical Center.
