At Liberty Hall Historic Site, we emphasize the differences in life between modern times and the early 1800s when the Brown family lived at Liberty Hall. John Brown (1775-1837) was Kentucky's first US Senator beginning in 1792. Each semester (Fall and Spring) there is a special tour arranged for school students that engage them in learning in fun and inventive ways. Call Liberty Hall for information on this tour or on arranging a tour anytime during the school year. We can design a tour around a specific historic topic such as: early Kentucky government, architecture, "folklore, fact and fiction," etc. Please speak with the education coordinator to see what can be arranged for your class. |
