AIM / Project Rebound
The Board of Education supports two alternative programs housed at “It’s About Kids” Support Services. These programs provide supports for student with unique needs as identified in schools throughout the district.
AIM
AIM is an Alternative Integrated Model developed for high school students with disabilities who struggle with academics or vocational skills and need additional support in a more individualized setting. AIM is a placement determined through an Admissions and Release Committee (ARC). Placement is determined through data and program options available to all students with disabilities provided at their current high school.
Project Rebound
The Board of Education created the Project Rebound program as an alternative to expulsion for middle and high school students. It develops students' skills in academic and social arenas, including controlling anger responses and accepting responsibility for one's actions. The program focuses on supporting students so they can return to their home schools with the academic and social skills needed to be successful.
