Migrant education program

This program, which is funded through Part C of Title I, offers services to migrant families and out-of-school youth who have moved to Fayette County within the past three years seeking seasonal or temporary agricultural jobs.

We provide academic assistance, summer school services and dropout prevention interventions for migrant students -- helping with school registration, school supplies, clothing, food and medical referrals.

Each family gets a packet with information on the Hispanic Association, Saint Joseph Baby Health/Mobile Clinics, ESL classes, the U.K. Migrant Health Program, Family Resource Centers and details on upcoming events of interest.

After a child's initial enrollment in school, the Migrant Education Program serves as a liaison between the family and the school, providing assistance as needed.
