To enroll a new student in Fayette County Public Schools, families should go to the school their neighborhood is assigned to and fill out a registration packet. To determine your school, use the online street directory or call (859) 381-4315 for help.

The first registration window runs Feb. 3-26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays, plus 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 4. The second window is April 7-30, plus 5 to 7 p.m. April 8. Registration continues on these summer Tuesdays for grades K-5: June 2, July 7, 14, 21 and 28. The final window, for grades K-12, is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays Aug. 3 through Aug. 12, the first day of school.

Note: For incoming kindergartners, after each registration window closes, families will receive a letter either confirming a student’s enrollment in the neighborhood school or advising that their school is full and explaining their options.

A legal copy of the child's birth certificate or another official document proving the child's identity and date of birth is required for school registration. These are acceptable alternatives:

If I fail to do so, I understand that I will be reported to local law enforcement or the Kentucky State Police for investigation."
