Classified positions do not require a teaching certificate. There are two types: hourly and salaried.

Hourly positions include include custodial, food service, instructional assistant, interpreter for the deaf, law enforcement, maintenance, plant operations, purchasing, secretary/clerical assistants, technology, transportation and warehouse workers.

Salaried positions include occupational or physical therapist, speech language pathologist, employment training specialist, Family Resource Center coordinator and administrative positions not requiring a teaching certificate. In general, salaried positions require at least a bachelor's degree.
